A Complex Weave: Women and Identity in Contemporary Art (2009)
The catalog for A Complex Weave begun with the need to create an identity for an exhibition that would both reflect the intricacy of the work and would not rely on expected or stereotypical visuals. Therefore, the entire look of the catalog would simply mimic it’s content. A Complex Weave is devised of multiple grids representing both the types of artist’s work featured and the sections within the catalog. The table of contents appears on the cover, while the title only appears when two books are placed together or if the cover is fully opened. White ink was used for title, which was printed onto a craft cover stock.
