The Philadelphia Photo Arts Center (PPAC) is a nonprofit organization devoted to the study, practice, and appreciation of contemporary digital photography. gdloft designed a flexible visual solution to reflect their mission. The logo references the viewfinder focal line of a camera. The logo has various permutations to represent the shifting taking place in photography from traditional to digital. PPAC’s identity incorporates three additional shapes which represent each of their core organizational goals (study, practice, and appreciation). This allows for different experiences with the logo across various print-based and screen-based platforms.
